Teaching/Writing Tool Consultant

Hello everyone, I am Yen, a Ph.D. student of TESOL at NCCU. I currently work as a team moderator and teaching tool consultant in the EMI resource center at NCCU. I am interested in technology and learning tools. Recently, I have been working on trying various learning tools, such as AI-assisted English teaching and learning chatbots. I hope to help English teachers, EMI instructors, and English learners have better learning environments. Writing Consultant

I come from Hong Kong and have 17 years of teaching experience.  In my teaching career till now, I have marked over 25,000 pieces of writing from high school students and undergraduates.  I enjoy reading students’ writing, from which I learn so much and know the effective means to guide them on the pathway leading to English proficiency. I am currently a student in the TESOL MA program at National Chengchi University and have over eight years of teaching experience as an English teacher. I am energetic and committed to helping students integrate English into their daily lives, instead of solely viewing it as a subject for exams. I employ diverse teaching methods to guide students in using English flexibly, thus eliminating any fear associated with using English. Lastly, I hope everyone can embrace the beauty of English and fall in love with it. 😊

As an English teacher, I have three years' working experience, and I have gained a great sense of accomplishment in the process of guiding students' English learning. My passion is to create a supportive atmosphere, which can not only enhance students' learning motivation and understanding, but also enables them to participate in English learning more meaningfully. I am really excited to continue the English learning journey with more students!
