The Forwarder Manual 8.0's mention of system requirements links to the Splunk Enterprise Installation Manual 8.0, which only lists 2016 and 2019. But I'm unclear if that just means that running the indexers/search heads are only supported on the newer windows, or if that means that the forwarder too is only supported on the newer version.

Hello @Thava_91 , just to add on - If you are not changing the infrastructure, like the commserve server will remain the same and you stay on the same machine, you can first take the DR backup, copy the DR backup files if present locally on commserve to another machine and if the commserve is a VM, take a snapshot of it as well.
Once the backup part is done, you can upgrade the OS first, make sure Commvault is up and running fine, take another DR backup and snapshot, then upgrade the Commvault version to 11.28, as 11.28 is not compatible with Windows 2012.

Please also make sure to copy the DR backup files if present locally on commserve to another machine as a safety.

@Anonymous You can downgrade your windows 10 to 7... not ideal, of course, but may be your only real choice. If your workstation is dedicated to max, you can also quarantine it from the net, so you don't have to worry about security issues.

I have had no luck installing sql server 2012 express on to a windows home machine. When I go through the installation process it fails to install the database engine. It gives an error of "Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation." I am not sure what to do as i can't install 2014 or 2016 on the machine has it fails the system requirements.
On my mac mini late 2012 running windows 7 under bootcamp 5.xx, the windows 10 update procedure halts at the very first screen due to its self diagnosis of a Bluetooth hardware incompatibility. I have updated all software and drivers for both windows 7 and OSx. Not sure what to do next.
When i try to do an in-place upgrade from 2019 Data Centre version to 2022 Data Centre version, option to keep file, folders. app is greyed out.
