This research develops and validates simulation models of a queuing process at a commercial Bank. For this study, Sonali Bank Limited, BUET branch, Dhaka, Bangladesh was selected to develop the simulation model for the queuing system. Bank data were collected to train the model. The collected data were then used to generate the input random variables following two approaches. Next, three model validation techniques were used to check the model validity and the validation metrics were used to compare the approaches in order to select the most appropriate one. The validated model was then used to predict system behavior. This research will be helpful to perform the validation of the simulation model for other systems and predict the system behavior to an acceptable level.
