Assoc. Prof Dr Nazlena Mohamad Ali

Nazlena Mohamad Ali: a senior research fellow and an Associate Professor at the Institute of Visual Informatics (IVI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).  She received her PhD from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2009 under the supervision of Prof Alan Smeaton.  Her primary research interest is Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).  She is involved with several research projects related to the study of UI/UX, developing interactive systems and mobile applications, persuasive technologies and design, and digital games for specific target users such as older adults and many others.  She has published over 100 papers from multiple journals/proceedings and is an active technical paper reviewer and international conference program committee member.  She has completed her role as the principal supervisor for more than 13 PhD(s) and 14 Master's by research students.  She has been working at UKM since 1999.

She is currently Head of INTERAKSI (Intelligent Human-centered Extended Reality & System Integration) Research Group at IVI.
