About this notice
Naya is operated by us. This notice tells you what personal information the application handles and on what footing, and it applies to Naya alone. Anything you reach from within Naya that belongs to somebody else — Google Play and Google Play services included — is governed by that party's own notice, not by this one.
Carry on using Naya and you are taken to have read what follows. Disagree with it, and the remedy is to stop.
Is Naya open to anyone?
No. It is restricted to people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly gather personal information from anybody younger. An account we find to be held by a minor may be suspended or deleted, and we will take the steps appropriate to removing what was collected. Our position on child sexual abuse and exploitation appears at https://sites.google.com/view/naya-csaepolicy, in a document of its own: the Child Safety Standards and Anti-CSAE Policy.
What information does Naya hold about you?
Not everyone's record looks the same. What we hold turns on how you use the application, on the permissions your device has granted, and on which features are open to you.
Things you hand over
• Your registration and profile: a name or username, an age or date of birth, gender, a description of yourself, interests, education, a city or general area, profile preferences, photographs, and anything else you add of your own accord.
• Your activity: posts, captions, photographs, comments, likes, reactions, the profiles you have looked at, greetings, and other content or actions you put through Naya.
• Your correspondence: messages sent through the application, with the participants, dates, times, and delivery statuses attached to them. Turn on an AI-assisted chat feature and the conversation concerned runs through automated systems and through the AI providers we use, so that a suggested reply can be offered to you. Messages are not published anywhere, though whoever receives one may keep it or repeat it.
• Your reports and requests: what you submit in reporting somebody, challenging a decision, seeking help, or raising any trust, safety, or account question. Where identity or age verification is on offer, the result and a limited quantity of verification data may be handled as well.
• Your purchases: for a virtual item, a paid plan, or another transaction, we may hold the item bought, an identifier for the transaction, its status, date and amount, and the associated account information. Card details are not part of that — Google Play Billing deals with them.
Things collected as you go
• Device and connection data: the mobile network in use and the IP address behind it, the model of the handset, the versions of its operating system and of the application, language and time-zone settings, device or advertising identifiers, and any crash or diagnostic output.
• The Google Advertising ID, which we and our providers may read for analytics, attribution, measurement, and fraud prevention. It plays no part in cross-context behavioural advertising. It can be reset or deleted, and ads personalisation switched off, from your device settings.
• Usage data: profiles and screens viewed, features used, searches run, taps made, how long a session ran, where you came from, and the timing of it all.
• Location: approximate, inferred from an IP address; precise only where you grant the device permission, only for location-based features, only while the application is open, and never in the background. The permission can be revoked at any time in device settings.
• Comparable technologies: software development kits, pixels, local storage and the like, used by us and our providers to run, secure, measure, and improve Naya.
Things others tell us
Google Play and other distribution or authentication providers, analytics and security vendors, users who interact with you or report you, and publicly available sources may all be sources of information about you, to the extent the law permits.
Why is any of it used?
• To run the application — accounts, profiles, content display, discovery, messaging, social features, purchases, paid plans, and everything else you ask for.
• To tailor what you see — recommendations of people and content, arrangement of feeds, retention of preferences, and adjustment of features to your activity, interests, dating or social preferences, and settings.
• To read images — automated technologies, machine learning and AI tools among them, examine posted photographs, so as to establish what an image contains, to sort and recommend content, to improve discovery, and to assist with moderation and safety. Facial recognition is not the object, and no biometric identifier for identifying you is created.
• To operate the AI-assisted chat features — suggesting replies, drafting or completing messages, and translating. This requires the relevant conversation, your profile information, and that of your correspondent to be processed and passed to AI providers acting for us, whose processing is confined to delivering the feature to us. Whatever they return is a suggestion for you to look at, and it goes no further unless you send it.
• To keep users safe — identifying spam, scams, fraud, harassment, unlawful conduct, fake accounts, and rule-breaking, investigating reports, and protecting both users and the application.
• To moderate — automated screening, with human review where the situation calls for it, to detect potentially harmful or prohibited activity and enforce the rules.
• To develop Naya — measuring performance and usage, diagnosing faults, trialling features, and carrying out research.
• To handle transactions — verifying purchases, delivering virtual items and plan benefits, blocking payment fraud, keeping records, and dealing with refunds and disputes.
• To reach you — service notices, security alerts, policy updates, feature announcements, and other lawful communications.
• To satisfy the law — regulatory duties, lawful requests, legal claims brought or defended, and enforcement of our terms and policies.
Certain things you supply of your own accord, profile details and dating or social preferences chief among them, may disclose or imply characteristics treated as sensitive. Their use is confined to the discovery, matching, and recommendation features you have asked for. No advertising is targeted with them; none of them is sold or shared. Where the law makes consent the basis for such use, supplying the information and continuing with Naya constitute that consent, and it may be withdrawn as this notice explains.
Nothing obtained through Naya is used or transferred for any purpose beyond the user-facing features described here.
Who else sees it?
• Other users. Whatever you make visible — profile, photographs, posts, captions, likes, and the rest — can be seen by other people on Naya, to the extent your settings and feature choices allow.
• Our providers. Vendors engaged to store and host data, to moderate content, to support customers, to secure the application, to supply analytics, to carry communications, to verify users, to handle payments, and to furnish artificial-intelligence and machine-learning capability, together with others doing work for us.
• Authorities and others, on legal or safety grounds. Where disclosure is reasonably necessary to meet a legal requirement or process, to answer a lawful governmental request, to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, of Naya, or of anyone else, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to enforce our terms and policies.
• A counterparty to a corporate transaction. Merger, financing, acquisition, reorganisation, insolvency, sale of assets, or anything similar, subject to appropriate safeguards.
• Anyone you nominate. Where you request a disclosure, use a feature that entails one, or otherwise consent.
Information in aggregated or deidentified form, which cannot reasonably be tied back to you, may also be used and disclosed so far as the law allows.
Is any of it sold?
No. Naya does not sell personal information for money, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Analytics providers act for us to show how the application is used and where it can be improved, which is a different thing altogether. Were the position ever to change, this notice would be revised and any legally required choice offered before information were put to a materially different use.
For how long is it kept?
For as long as there is a reason to keep it: providing the application, maintaining your account, completing transactions, protecting users, meeting legal obligations, settling disputes, enforcing agreements, and running the business legitimately. The period differs from one type of information to another and depends on why it was collected, what the law says, and what safety and fraud prevention require.
Delete content or an account and a limited residue may persist for a while in backups, or wherever the law requires or allows retention. Deidentified information may be kept for research, analytics, and improvement.
What can you control?
• Much of your profile can be reviewed or amended, and your content managed, through the account and editing tools inside the application.
• Camera, photo library, notification, and location permissions belong to your device settings; a feature that depends on a permission you have refused will not run.
• Push notifications can be handled through device settings and through any notification controls Naya provides.
• Your advertising identifier can be reset or deleted, and ads personalisation turned off, in device settings.
How do you delete your account?
Two routes are available, and either is sufficient.
• Within the application — use the account deletion option in your account settings and follow what it asks.
• On the web — go to https://forms.gle/n1KLW4Mo4dLChLg19 and submit a request quoting the email address or account identifier tied to your account. This route needs no installation and no login.
Should you want particular data removed rather than the whole account, write to nayaandfeedback@nayasoc.com. Bear in mind that removing the application from your device leaves your account where it is.
Deletion carries narrow exceptions: legal, security, fraud-prevention, and operational needs may require retention, backups may hold information for a limited period, and a message you have already sent remains in the recipient's copy of the exchange.
What rights do residents of U.S. states have?
Subject to your state's law, you may be entitled to request access to personal information, to receive a copy, to have inaccuracies corrected, to have information deleted, and to opt out of certain processing. There may in addition be a right to restrict particular uses made of sensitive personal information, a right to take back a consent previously given, a right to challenge how a privacy request was decided, and a right to be served on the same terms as anybody else despite having made one.
Requests may be lodged through the privacy controls in the application or by writing to nayaandfeedback@nayasoc.com. Identity and entitlement may need to be established before a request is met. An authorised agent may act for you where the law allows, on production of proof of authorisation and verification of identity.

In those twelve months Naya sold no personal information for monetary consideration and shared none for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16, and we make no use or disclosure of sensitive personal information that would give rise to a right to limit under California law.
Residents of California further hold rights of knowledge and of access, rights to have inaccuracies corrected and information erased, a right to be told what has been disclosed, and a right against discrimination for having exercised any of them. Signals of opt-out preference issued by a browser or a device — Global Privacy Control, for instance — are honoured where the law so requires.
How is information kept secure?
Administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are maintained to protect personal information, and traffic between the application and our servers is encrypted while in transit. Perfect security is not attainable, however, by any method of transmission or storage, and none is claimed here. Keeping your credentials to yourself, and acting quickly on anything suspicious in your account, remain matters for you.
Where is information processed?
In the United States, and in the other countries where our providers operate. Data protection law in those countries may not resemble the law where you live. Where a cross-border transfer calls for safeguards, safeguards are applied.
Will this notice change?
From time to time, yes. The revised text appears here with an amended "Last Updated" date, and a material change may be accompanied by further notice in the application or by whatever means the law prescribes. Use of Naya after a revision takes effect is governed by the revised notice.
