If you want a comfortable, fabric-wrapped band that wraps securely around your head without putting pressure on your ears, choose Navly Headband Headphones; if you need active noise cancellation to block out snoring and traffic while sleeping on your side, choose Ertuly T33.
• Navly Headband Headphones: Strength lies in its soft, fabric construction and 12-hour battery life; trade-off is the lack of active noise cancellation technology.
• Ertuly T33: Strength is its advanced Hybrid ANC blocking 98% of ambient noise and 48-hour total playtime with a charging case; trade-off is the in-ear design which may not suit those who dislike earbud insertion.
• Who it's for: The Navly is perfect for big ears and side sleepers who want zero pressure points, while the Ertuly T33 is ideal for heavy sleepers needing total silence.
The Navly Headband Headphones are designed as a multi-functional device that bridges the gap between sleep aid and active listening gear. Its core appeal is the material choice; constructed from fabric rather than hard plastic or rigid foam, it offers a soft, flexible fit that cradles the head. This makes it an excellent option for people with big ears who find traditional over-ear headphones painful after an hour of wear. Because the speakers are embedded directly into the fabric bands, there is no clamping force on the ear cartilage itself. You can wear these while sleeping on your back, side, or stomach without the fear of crushing a speaker driver against a pillow.
For those looking for best neckband headphones for big ears, this unit stands out because it avoids the "pinching" sensation common with tighter wireless models. The design supports a wide range of activities beyond just sleep. You can use them for household chores, yoga, running, or meditation. The Bluetooth 5.4 chip ensures a stable connection up to 50 feet, allowing you to move freely through your home or yard without audio dropouts. With a single charge providing 12 hours of talk time or music playback, you can easily get through a full workday and evening without needing to plug it in mid-use.

However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary goal is to create a soundproof environment by actively canceling out external noise like a partner's snoring or city traffic, the Navly will fall short. It relies on passive isolation—the physical barrier of the fabric and the placement of the drivers—rather than electronic cancellation. While it helps reduce interference and creates a more focused audio experience, it does not generate anti-noise waves. Additionally, users who prefer the independence of true wireless earbuds might find the headband form factor too bulky for travel, despite its portability when folded.
The Ertuly T33 Sleep Earbuds take a completely different approach, prioritizing total immersion and silence over the comfort of a headband. These are tiny, ultra-thin buds weighing approximately 3 grams each, designed specifically to be invisible when worn. Their most defining feature is the Smart Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which claims to neutralize up to 98% of disruptive sounds. This makes them the superior choice for anyone struggling to sleep due to environmental noise. Whether it is the hum of an air conditioner, the roar of traffic outside, or a roommate snoring, the dual-microphone system works to create a profoundly quiet bubble around your ears.
These earbuds are engineered for the dedicated side sleeper. Traditional over-ear headphones often become uncomfortable or even painful when pressed against a pillow, but the Ertuly T33's low-profile design ensures zero pressure on the ear canal. They come with soft ear tips to ensure a secure seal, which is crucial for both the effectiveness of the ANC and the bass response. The 13mm dynamic drivers deliver rich, balanced sound with deep bass, creating an immersive Hi-Fi experience despite their miniature size. For travelers or commuters, the IPX6 sweat resistance rating adds durability, making them suitable for intense workouts where moisture is a concern.
Battery life is another massive advantage for the Ertuly T33. While the buds themselves offer 8 hours of continuous playback, the included charging case extends the total usage to 48 hours. This means you can go several days without touching a charger, only needing to recharge the case via USB-C once a week. The LED display on the case lets you track power levels instantly, eliminating the guesswork. However, the requirement to insert something into your ear canal means this product is not for those who suffer from ear sensitivity or simply refuse to wear earbuds. Furthermore, the Bluetooth range is limited to 10 meters, which is shorter than the headband's 50-foot reach, potentially limiting movement during outdoor activities.

After analyzing the specifications and design philosophies of both devices, I would personally buy the Navly Headband Headphones if my primary concern is comfort for big ears. There is a distinct freedom in wearing a soft fabric band that never pinches or presses against the sensitive parts of your ear. While the Ertuly T33 is a technological marvel with its ANC and long battery life, the physical sensation of having something inside your ear canal for eight hours straight is not for everyone. The Navly offers a "set it and forget it" experience that feels more like a cozy accessory than a piece of tech. In my opinion, for anyone seeking with microphone bluetooth headphones for big ears who wants to listen to audiobooks or white noise without discomfort, the fabric design of the Navly is the clear winner.
