Ai Geo NAvigators operates the Navigators mobile application (the “App”), an internship portal for interns to view tasks, submit work, and track progress. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is intended for internship program participants whose accounts are created by an administrator. It is not a public sign-up service. Access is provided through credentials issued by your program administrator.
When you sign in and complete your profile, we collect and store:
Full name
Email address
University
Degree / field of study
Phone number
Address
Region / geo code (district label assigned by your program)
Account role (intern)
Points and level (program progress)
This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore and linked to your Firebase Authentication account.
Email and password are used to sign in via Firebase Authentication.
Passwords are handled by Firebase; we do not store plain-text passwords on our servers.
You may be required to change a temporary password on first login.
When you submit assignments, we collect:
Task ID and task title
Uploaded files (images, PDF, or Word documents, up to 10 MB per file)
File type and file metadata (e.g. original filename)
Submission status (e.g. pending, approved, rejected)
Submission timestamps
Files are uploaded to our backend API and stored using Cloudinary (cloud file hosting). Submission records are stored in Firebase Firestore.
If you allow notifications, we collect and store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token so we can send alerts about tasks and submission updates. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
We and our service providers may automatically collect:
Device type and operating system
App version
Authentication tokens (to keep you signed in and secure API requests)
Server logs (e.g. IP address and request time) when you upload submissions
We do not collect precise GPS location through the App. The “geo code” in your profile is a program-assigned region label, not live location tracking.
We use your information to:
Provide access to the App and your internship account
Display assigned tasks and submission status
Process and store your task submissions for review by administrators
Update your points, level, and leaderboard standing
Send push notifications about tasks and submissions (if enabled)
Maintain security, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot technical issues
Comply with legal obligations
You can view your own profile, tasks, and submissions in the App.
Program administrators can view intern profiles, submissions, and progress through the admin dashboard for program management and review.
Authorized backend services process data on our behalf (see Section 5).
We do not sell your personal information.

On Android, the App may request:
Internet — to connect to our services
Notifications — to deliver task and submission alerts
The App uses a file picker so you can choose documents or images from your device. We do not access your entire device storage without your explicit file selection.
We retain your information for as long as your internship account is active and as needed to operate the program, review submissions, and meet legal or administrative requirements. When no longer needed, data may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our internal policies and applicable law.
We use industry-standard measures including:
Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for API communication
Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in
Role-based access controls in Firestore
Signed, authenticated API requests for file uploads
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate profile information (via the App or by contacting us)
Request deletion of your account and data
Withdraw consent for push notifications (via device settings)
Object to or restrict certain processing

The App is intended for internship participants, typically 18 years or older or as permitted by your educational institution. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. Contact us if you believe we have collected such data.
Your data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate (including the United States and other regions where Firebase and Cloudinary host data). By using the App, you consent to such transfers subject to applicable safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
