Sports and games equipment for your student’s class/location to be used outside of class time.
Custom curated OWL Crate Box with a book and cool bonus items, and online discussion forum about the book.

Box Information
Playground-in-a-Box: Sports/Active equipment or supplies for Navigate Locations to use during non-instructional time (before/after school or during breaks).
Maximum Amount per Location: $500
Estimated Number of grants available: 6
Criteria: Preference will be given to new locations or locations that have not been approved for playground-in-a-box previously and have not received funding during the 2022-23 school year. Application must be submitted by a parent.
Examples: basketballs, hockey sticks, yoga mats, etc.
STEM-in-a-Box: STEM equipment to set up a out-of-school club (before/after school or lunch time club).
Maximum Amount per Location: $1500
Estimated Number of grants available: 2
Criteria: Preference will be given to new locations or locations that have not received funding during the 2022-23 school year. Application must be submitted by a parent.
Examples: lego, robotic/coding kits, science experiment equipment, etc.
Book Club-in-a-Box: This option is for individual students and they do not have to be connected with a group location. There will be 2 options: Junior (Elementary) and Senior (Secondary). Students will be mailed an OWL Crate, which includes a book and some fun surprise items. Students will commit to participating in a safe online forum (hosted by Navigate NIDES) to discuss the book.
Value per Box: $50
Estimated number of boxes available: 50
Criteria: Enrolled students at Navigate NIDES, parents can apply on student’s behalf.
Application Process: Applications will be open May 3 to May 10 (or until all funding has been committed. The application will be an online form. Complete applications that meet criteria will be approved on a first come, first served basis. If there are less applications than allotted funding in a certain category and more in another, funds may be moved between categories.

What items you would like to purchase and their cost
How items will be used
Who will be leading or sponsoring the program (teacher/parent)
Confirm that this is for use outside of instructional time
To apply for the Bookclub Box, parents will need the following information:
Student Name and Teacher
Which Box - Jr. Or YA
Mailing Address and Parent Contact Information
Confirm that student will participate in online discussion
Option to be a parent moderator on the forum (we will need a couple parents who can be there as a support)
