Call for Papers

The conference will feature two plenary talks and several invited talks. We are also accepting contributed talks and student presentations, with a particular emphasis on encouraging student participation. Partial financial support will be available for participating speakers. If you are interested in presenting, please email june1369@postech.ac.kr with your talk title and abstract by December 20, 2024.

Workshop Rationale

The Navier-Stokes equations are among the most significant partial differential equations (PDEs) that mathematicians have been studying for a long time due to their complexity and depth. Over the past decades, various advancements have been made in both the theoretical understanding and numerical approximations of these equations. This conference will bring together experts in Navier-Stokes analysis and its applications in numerical analysis, providing an opportunity for researchers to share their recent developments. Particularly, it is part of the celebration of Professor Jae Ryong Kweon’s retirement from POSTECH. Professor Kweon has made substantial contributions to both the theoretical and numerical aspects of the Navier-Stokes equations, leaving a lasting impact on the field. The conference will honor his achievements and bring researchers together to discuss current challenges and future research directions in both the theoretical and numerical aspects of Navier-Stokes equations. Additionally, there will be special sessions for students, offering the next generation of mathematicians a platform to present their research in this area.
