Get to know Natural Notes
Emily Bruso, MM, MT-BC, NMT, founded Natural Notes in 2022 with the purpose of offering the creative therapy modalities of music and horticulture to individuals and families in the greater Phoenix area.
As a board certified music therapist with a masters in music therapy (ASU), Emily provides a client-centered approach utilizing neurologic and improvisatory techniques. She is experienced in leading people of all ages and various backgrounds into high-quality therapeutic musical experiences including the areas of: acute inpatient medical care, oncology, perinatal and postpartum support, adult inpatient behavioral health, adolescent outpatient beahvioral health, Parkinson's disease, palliative care, hospice, family support, early childhood development, memory care and with resettled refugees.
Equipped with a bachelor's in music education from the University of Arizona and 15 years of instrumental music educational experience, Emily thrives on empowering people to become music-makers.
Additionally, Emily holds an accredited 9 academic credit hour certificate in horticultural therapy from the Horticultural Therapy Institute. She is a Master Gardener Associate with the University of Arizona Extension Office and has a background in urban-farming and animal husbandry.
She is driven by the belief that interactions with music and nature have boundless therapeutic potential to make lasting improvements in people's lives.
