Kunwar Shahzad Singh, showed gallantry in Mau battle. On some dispute with Rewa, he went to Lahore along with his brothers Rudra Shah and Vijay Bahadur Singh and joined the Sikh army and took part in the Anglo-Sikh war. They were later recalled by Raja Jai Singh of Rewah.

Kunwar Awadhesh Pratap Singh, B.A., LL.B.; born October 1888, Member of Congress (Madhya Pradesh), Member of the Constituent Assembly, Member of the Provisional Parliament and Member of the Rajya Sabha 1952/1960; Prime Minister of Rewah State 1948, 1st Chief Minister of Vindhya Pradesh 1948/1949, married Shrimati Kunwarani Maharaj Kumari, and had issue, one son and one daughter. He died 16th June 1967 in Kanpur.
Kunwar Dr. Govind Narain Singh, born 25th July 1920 in Rampur Baghelan, educated at Benaras Hindu University (Ph.D. in Literature); elected to the Vindhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in 1951, elected to the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in 1957, 1963 and 1967; Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh [30.7.1967] - [12.3.1969], Governor of Bihar [26.2.1988] - [24.1.1989], married and had issue, five sons and one daughter. He died in 2005.
