NativeAlgo built the Audacast app as an Free application. This page informs users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of information if anyone decides to use our Service.
Audacast is designed as a Microphone Loopback Utility and operates with a strong focus on user privacy and data minimization.
The app DOES NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any audio recordings or personally identifiable information (PII) from your device or microphone.
Data Type
Purpose of Collection/Access
Is it Collected or Stored?
Microphone / Audio Data
To capture live audio input from the device microphone for the sole purpose of routing (streaming) it to the connected Bluetooth device.
NO. The audio is processed live on the device and immediately discarded. It is NEVER recorded, stored, or sent to our servers.
Bluetooth Connection State
To check if a Bluetooth A2DP or SCO device is connected, which is a core functional requirement to start the service. (Requires BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permission on Android 12+).
NO. We only read the state (Connected/Disconnected) and the name of the connected device. This information is only displayed to the user and is NOT stored or transmitted.
Device & Usage Data (Log Data)
In the event of an app error or crash, the Android operating system may generate "Log Data" which may include non-personal technical information such as the device's IP address, device name, operating system version, and system configuration.
NO, not by the app. This data is typically managed by the Android system or third-party services (see Section 2). We do not implement our own logging mechanism.
The Audacast application is built purely for functionality and does not currently integrate external analytics, advertising, or crash reporting services.
If this policy is updated to include third-party service providers (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics), the following will apply:
Third-party services may collect information used to identify you, governed by their own privacy policies.
We will only use these services for the specific purpose of improving the app's stability and performance.
We will list the links to their respective privacy policies here.
Audacast requires the following permissions, which are only used to provide the core functionality described above:
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO: Required to access the microphone for live streaming.
android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Required to manage audio routing and volume settings.
android.permission.BLUETOOTH_CONNECT (Android 12+): Required to check the state of the connected Bluetooth device.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE: Required to maintain the live audio stream while the app is in the background, ensuring continuous operation as a wireless microphone.
We value your trust in providing us your information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, since the app does not collect or store any user data, the risk of a data breach related to this app is minimal.
The Audacast Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
