I work with individuals to identify the questions and interactions that will help them create awareness of what is important to them, and design actions to achieve their goals.
As a student at the International Coach Academy, I developed an interaction-focused coaching model based on existing coaching models in the field of early childhood education. Using video observations of classroom interactions, I use this model to help educators identify interactions they would like to focus on to promote emotional connection and higher order thinking skills with their students.
Through work with other coaches, my approach has evolved beyond my original model to include aspects of mindfulness practice in helping school leaders as well as clients outside the field of education. I guide my clients through a process for organizing their intuitions and aspirations into "being goals" and "doing goals" they can then use to evaluate the effectiveness of coaching.
