Overview
If you are too short on time in Tanzania for a full-day safari, you can still enjoy the chance to see African wildlife on this full-day tour from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park starting at 04:30 AM. It is located at 3230sq km, between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast. Mikumi National Park is home to giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards, impalas, elands, kudus, black antelopes, baboons, wildebeests and buffaloes.Â
Itinerary
You'll be picked up from Dar es Salaam at 04:30 AM and driven to Mikumi National Park which takes approximately 5- to 6 hours due to traffic jam. After arriving at the gate, change your car from a min bus to an open-sided safari jeep and start doing game drives after park entry clearance. You will proceed with game drives until 5:00 pm and then start driving back to Dar es Salaam. Here you will come across zebras, wildebeest, lions, elephants, buffalo, and many species of birds. Note: lunch will be served at a restaurant in the park.
End the tour at 05:00 PM and start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a drop-off at the airport/hotel.
