Please join us on Saturday, October 31st at Cedar Hill Park for a fun Halloween-themed Score-O format orienteering event.

Legend of the SCARE-O.  Two years ago, a pair of young orienteers didn't check back in from SCARE-O.

Now locals tell tales of these woods being haunted by a young Darth Vader and a Mandolorian.

Beware, use caution, and keep your wits about you as you try to collect as many controls as you can before time expires...

(And PLEASE, check back in when you finish so we aren't looking for you after the event)

This is a semi-mass start event.  Participants will have ~2.5 hours to collect as many points as possible on the course.

To simplify math on my end this year, each control will have the same point value:  1

Highest total points wins, and ties will be broken by fastest time.

Finish Time is recorded when punching the FINISH control.

If you are late (past the cutoff time) 1 point will be deducted per minute late. (ie, late = -1 points, 1 minute past - 2 points etc)

Controls will be punch controls.  Paper punch cards will be provided with maps.

This version will include a map exchange, and will likely challenge you beyond traditional orienteering maps.
