UMPIRE RESOURCES
Find a wealth of umpire and training resources here (under construction).
This is still my all-time favorite picture from the SVI (this is from the 2021 tournament). Note the "young catcher" behind the fence - he grabbed his gear every time big brother was catching, and our own Pat Considine lined up to "call balls and strikes" behind him." Jim Marzec was working the dish in this picture (that's me out working at first base).
The little guy grabbed his bat and batting helmet and got ready to hit when big bro was batting next inning. How cool was this?
This is why we do this. For the love of the game... Scott R, NBUA Assigner (a.k.a. "Houdini")
