Nashoba Valley Neighbors Silent Auction

The silent auction taking place on our game night on 26 October 2019. Please let us know if you have a product or service you would like to donate for the silent auction. Silent Auction proceeds to benefit Budget Buddies and future community service and events. There is no limit to the value of the items, but a lowest bid acceptable will be recommended depending on the value. Nashoba Valley Neighbors is a non-profit organization, 501 c3.

Donate - Your Talent

This can be in the form of services for example handyman, financial planning or tax return preparation. Or perhaps a sample of your pottery, painting knitting or sewing skills. If it is for a service, a letter/certificate for the service to be provided will be needed for the auction.

Donate – A themed gift basket

Be creative! Some suggestions are:

It's a Date! Let's start with a romantic basket! Gift cards for restaurants, movie tickets, popcorn, bowling, go-carting or any activity that could be used for a date.

Wine Lovers: Have a selection of red and white wines, plus snacks to go with the wines, like cheese and crackers, etc.

Pet Lovers: Themed towards a specific type of pet - Cat, dog, bird, or horse, etc. Have a selection of pet toys, snacks, food, and a voucher for the local vet.

Movie Night: Movie Theatre vouchers, dvds of popular movies, popcorn, and Chocolate.

Car Care: Car wash vouchers, car wash products, inner air fresheners.

Candle Aroma: A basket full of a variety of candles and accessories - Like candle holders, matches or lighters, candle making kit, and candle making books.

Death by Chocolate: Have an assortment of Chocolates and gourmet chocolates. Be creative and have a few rare, weird and wonderful products!

The Bakers Basket: You could include oven gloves, flour, baking powder, choc chips, nuts, icing sugar, cocoa powder, cookie/muffin pan, recipe for ingredients in basket, or recipe book for baking.

Global Beers/Drinks: An assortment of beers and drinks from around the world!

Donate - A Re-Gift Item

Have you ever received a gift from a friend, but it just wasn't your style? It might be a thoughtful gift, but you didn't know what to do with it. We have many people who might enjoy what your friend gave you. It is a win-win: you do something generous by donating the item and someone benefits by being the winning bidder.

Fun & Friendship with NVN

Opening Doors to Friendship Nashoba Valley Neighbors, formerly Acton-Boxborough Newcomers & Neighbors, is a nonprofit, adult social organization that welcomes both new and established people from Acton, Boxborough, Harvard, Littleton, Maynard, and Westford. Nashoba Valley Neighbors is a great way to meet neighbors in the area, build lasting friendships and create special memories. There are a variety of activities throughout the year including book group, dinner outings, wine tasting, lunch bunch, movies and other fun events (see Interest Groups and Calendar for details). Members may get involved in NVN as much or as little as they desire or as their time allows. There is definitely something for everyone. In 2014, the club became known as Nashoba Valley Neighbors, recognizing that many established people in our wider range of communities were also looking for new interests — we welcome you all!
