If you want a dedicated, wired solution built for deep submersion and total noise isolation while you are underwater, choose Naroote Swimming Headphones; if you need a versatile, wireless open-ear device that keeps you aware of your surroundings for fishing or running on land, choose Sport Headphones Swimming Headphones Open-Ear.
• Naroote Swimming Headphones: Their superpower is the IP68 rating which allows full submersion up to 3.6 meters with a secure, wired fit that eliminates drag; the trade-off is the lack of Bluetooth and reliance on a 40cm cable. This pick is for serious swimmers who need zero interference from water pressure.
• Sport Headphones Swimming Headphones Open-Ear: Their strength lies in the wireless Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and open-ear design that preserves situational awareness; the trade-off is they are not rated for deep submersion and rely on sweat resistance rather than waterproofing. This pick is for anglers, runners, and cyclists who need audio without blocking out the environment.
The Naroote unit is engineered for one specific environment: the water. When you look at the specifications, the defining feature is the IP68 rating, which isn't just a splash guard claim but a guarantee that the device can withstand being fully submerged up to 3.6 meters. This makes it an ideal companion for lap swimming where your head goes under repeatedly. Unlike many consumer electronics that fear moisture, this pair is built to handle heavy sweat, rain, and the high-pressure environment found when diving below the surface. The manufacturer has clearly prioritized durability over wireless convenience, opting for a wired 3.5mm connection with a 40cm cable to ensure a rock-solid link that doesn't drop during vigorous movement.
What sets this model apart is the focus on acoustic isolation in an aquatic setting. Because sound travels differently through water than through air, these headphones utilize advanced noise isolation technology to deliver crisp highs and deep bass even while submerged. They come with four different sized ear tips to create a customized seal that blocks water from entering the ear canal, ensuring you hear every note clearly. The inclusion of two sturdy cord clips along the 40cm cable is a critical design choice; it prevents tangling and reduces drag, allowing you to move freely without the wires fighting against your strokes. If you are looking for noise canceling sleep headphones for fishing in a stationary context, this might be overkill, but if you are actively swimming laps or engaging in surfing, this sealed, wired approach is superior.

You should buy this product if your primary activity involves being fully submerged in water and you prioritize a secure, non-slip fit above all else. The ergonomic design ensures the headphones stay firmly in place during vigorous movement, which is essential when you cannot easily reach up to adjust them while treading water. However, you should skip this product if you plan to use it for activities where hearing ambient sounds like traffic or other people is crucial. The in-ear placement and noise isolation capabilities mean you will be completely cut off from your surroundings once the music starts playing. It is a specialized tool for the pool or the ocean, not a general-purpose headphone for daily life.
The Sport Headphones model takes a completely different approach by prioritizing versatility and safety through its open-ear design. Instead of sealing the ear canal, this device uses a flexible neckband with secure ear hooks that sit outside the ear. This open-ear fit is specifically designed to keep the headphones firmly in place during intense workouts while maintaining situational awareness. For anyone using bone conduction headphones for fishing, this is a vital distinction; you can listen to your favorite tunes or podcasts while still hearing the wind, the waves, or other anglers nearby. The design allows for a comfortable fit for extended wear during long training sessions, whether you are hitting the gym, cycling, or pushing through an outdoor run.
Wireless freedom is the cornerstone of this product's appeal. Powered by Bluetooth 5.0 technology, it offers a reliable connection with a range of up to 33 feet, meaning you are not tethered to your phone by a wire. This makes it perfect for activities where a cable would be a hindrance, such as cycling or trail running. The device features a dynamic driver with a 13-millimeter size and delivers audio performance suitable for active lifestyles, handling everything from indoor training to outdoor sports. While it is marketed as waterproof for swimming, the description emphasizes its ability to withstand wind, rain, and splashes, making it a robust choice for wet conditions without the need for deep-submersion engineering.
This product is best suited for individuals who need a "one-device-fits-all" solution for mixed environments. If you spend time both in the pool and on the land, or if you are an angler who needs to stay alert to nature around you, this is the logical choice. The lightweight construction and flexible wraparound neckband ensure a snug fit that won't fall out, regardless of how hard you push yourself. However, you should avoid this if your main goal is to achieve the deepest possible bass response while underwater. The open-ear design inherently sacrifices some low-frequency isolation compared to in-ear models, and it lacks the IP68 deep-water certification of the Naroote alternative. It is a social, active headphone for those who refuse to be isolated from their world.

I would personally choose the Naroote Swimming Headphones if my primary goal was to enjoy best hifi stereo gaming headphones for fishing in a stationary, quiet spot where I needed complete immersion, but since fishing often requires listening to the environment, I have to pivot. Actually, for the specific use case of fishing, the Sport Headphones Swimming Headphones Open-Ear is the smarter investment. Fishing demands that you remain aware of your surroundings—listening for birds, water movement, or other people—and the open-ear design of the Sport Headphones provides exactly that safety feature. While the Naroote is technically superior for pure swimming, the Sport Headphones offer the necessary balance of audio quality and environmental awareness that makes them the more practical choice for an angler or outdoor enthusiast.
While the Naroote model offers excellent noise isolation that could help block out snoring, its wired nature and potential discomfort from the cable make it less ideal for side sleepers compared to the lightweight, wireless Sport Headphones, though neither is explicitly designed for sleep.
No, the Sport Headphones are designed to withstand splashes, rain, and sweat, but they do not carry the IP68 deep-submersion rating of the Naroote model, so they are not recommended for full underwater use.
Yes, because they utilize a standard 3.5mm wired connection, you will need a music player with a headphone jack or an adapter if your current device only has USB-C or Lightning ports.
The Naroote model is wired and requires no charging, offering unlimited playtime, whereas the Sport Headphones feature a rechargeable battery that charges in approximately one hour.
