1) Introduction
Namaz Ka Tarika ("App", "we", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when you use the App, why it is processed, and your choices.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2) Data We Process
2.1 Data You Provide
- We do not require account signup in the App.
- If you contact us by email, we receive the information you send (for example: email address and message content).
2.2 Data Processed by App Features
- Location Data (Approximate/Precise): Used only when you use features like Qibla direction, prayer timing auto-detection, and nearby mosque finder.
- Device/Technical Data: Basic app/device metadata may be processed by third-party SDKs for ads delivery, fraud prevention, and diagnostics.
- Advertising Identifiers (AD_ID): May be used by Google Mobile Ads SDK for showing ads and ad measurement.
2.3 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores certain settings/cache locally using on-device storage (AsyncStorage), such as:
- Prayer alarm enable/disable preferences
- Cached prayer times and location label
- Tasbih counts/settings
- Mosque finder cached results
- Rating prompt display date
This local data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app.
3) Permissions We Request and Why
- INTERNET: To fetch prayer times, reverse geocoding/location labels, and nearby mosque data; also required for ad loading.
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: For Qibla direction, location-based prayer time detection, and mosque finder.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): To show alarm/notification related reminders.
- AD_ID (Google Play services permission): For ad-related functionality via Google Mobile Ads.
You can deny permissions, but related features may not work correctly.
4) How We Use Data
We process data to:
- Provide core Islamic utility features (Qibla, prayer timing, alarms, mosque finder, tasbih)
- Show ads and keep the app free to use
- Improve reliability and troubleshoot issues
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
5) Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services that process data under their own privacy terms:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) - ads delivery/measurement
- BigDataCloud API - reverse geocoding for location label
- AlAdhan API - prayer timing data
- Overpass / OpenStreetMap services (including Nominatim usage) - nearby mosque search and address enrichment
- Google Maps links (opened externally when you choose directions/search)
Important: When you open external links/services, their own privacy policies apply.
6) Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited data with third-party processors strictly to run app features (for example, ad delivery or API responses) and where required by law.
7) Data Retention
- On-device settings/cache remain until you delete app data or uninstall.
- Data processed by third-party SDKs/services is retained according to their policies.
- Email/support messages are retained as needed to respond and maintain records.
8) Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
9) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure.
10) Your Choices
You can:
- Revoke location/notification permissions from device settings
- Clear app data from Android settings
- Uninstall the app at any time
- Avoid using features that require network/location if you do not want that processing
11) Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted with a new "Last Updated" date.
