Kraft-Heinz

In 2017, Nakkertok won the $250,000 grand prize in the Kraft-Heinz Project Play contest, that supported facility development for sports. This grant, race program fundraising, further grants  from governmental agencies and plenty of volunteer effort have helped create the Nakkertak an exceptional artificial snow, ski trail that provides us with an extra 6 weeks of skiing and racing at the Nakkertok facility.

For 2022, Nakkertok will recieve a $25,000 grant, from Marty and Kathy Hall, to increase snowmaking capacity, allowing for more snow to be made quicker. This will include the purchase of 2 new snow guns and a compressor. Marty has been an influential figure in the development of our sport in the U.S. and Canada since the late 60’s. Marty served 12 years as Canada's Head Coach and National Team Director in the 80's and early 90's and he and Kathy continue to give back to the sport in many ways. Check the linked page for more information.
