my experience

I'm grateful to have years of experience educating English and Spanish-speaking learners in The Dominican Republic and Trinidad, in public and private schools, and giving private lessons in Music and English Language Arts.

My studies are specialised in Music Education and I'm always so eager to share my knowledge of the language of music and my main instrument, the steelpan! 

I teach in a way that fits learners' needs, strengths, and curiosities. Learning is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe that this fact should be an addition to an enjoyable learning experience, rather than a detractor. 

Lessons include age and level-appropriate introduction to the steelpan and playing technique, singing, aural training (strengthening the musical 'ear'), and music theory concepts. Starting with a strong foundation and building on what we know ensures we see the world as completely as we possibly can.
