Dr. Nahid Swails is Assistant Professor of Physics in the department of Math, Nursing, Science and Public health at University of South Carolina Lancaster. Before joining USCL in 2018, she received her B.Sc. in Nuclear Physics from Isfahan University of Technology, her M.Sc. in Computational Physics from Sharekrord University and her Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from University of South Carolina, Columbia. Dr. Swails's research interests lie in the nanotechnology, fabrication of small sized material, superconductivity, thin films, semiconductors, characterization of novel materials, mathematical modeling area and additive manufacturing. She has published 14 peer reviewed articles (3 after joining USCL) which been cited more than 90 times. She has reviewed more than 50 articles for more than 10 journals. She is also devoted to enhancing teaching and learning of Physics.
