I'm a senior lecturer at the Racah institute of physics in the Hebrew university in Jerusalem, working on statistical physics. My main research interests include the theory of large deviations (rare events) in a broad range of systems from physics, chemistry, biology, ecology and epidemiology, and random matrix theory and its connection to quantum effects observed in cold atoms (in particular, trapped fermions). I am also looking for applications of my research tools to the environment, for instance, to climate systems.
