Welcome to my website “PASSPORT” 

My website "PASSPORT"; has a distinctive role - it shows the development of my art practice over the ages. This “retrospective” covers the decades of my life and work in places such as the former Soviet Union, East Africa, Austria, and the United Kingdom.

At times, the cultural and socio-political landscape of the places was so different that my work would change radically. Eventually, this “break-away” strategy would become a trade mark of my art practice. Every new project would develop its unique character and outlook, shifting between figurative imagery and a more conceptual approach.

In “PASSPORT” every such assignment is represented by several selected artworks, showing the progression of ideas and development of images. 

My lasting commitment to painting and its issues shaped my vision and life.
