SELECTION PROCESS
A selection committee is formed and led by a Eugene Native American Arts & Crafts Makers sub committee and composed of Indigenous and non-Indigenous administrators and/or artists working with Eugene Native American Arts & Crafts Makers, arts and/or culture. Artist selections are made through an organized juried process.
The Selection Committee is committed to managing a transparent selection process. Our practices and policies help to ensure all applications are considered fairly.
- Decisions are made by consensus, with thought and discussion during deliberations. If a designer is not selected, it does not reflect individual achievements, relationships, or the artistic value of the work as outlined below:
- Deliberations are confidential, we greatly appreciate feedback on our processes.
- Identify direct, indirect, and perceived conflicts of interests, and manage them individually.
- Consider thematic concepts, and represent the diversity of artistic and cultural perspectives from Native and Indigenous artists and designers.
Selection consideration includes the following:

Creative concept

If ceremonial items are incorporated, the selection committee will review your Description of Runway Plan and how the items will be used.
