Hi! I am a PhD applicant for 2026. Broadly, I am motivated by the challenge of building intelligent tools that can bridge machine learning and neuroscience. I am currently pursuing an MPhil at the University of Queensland, within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. My thesis, supervised by Dr. Mohammad Ali Moni and Dr. Md. Abdul Awal, explores whether quantum machine learning can offer a competitive advantage in brain data analysis. Alongside my studies, I am a research assistant at the Rural Health Research Institute, Charles Sturt University, where I focus on developing deep foundation models for neuroimaging and biomedical signals. Prior to this, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at IUT, Bangladesh, under the supervision of Prof. Ashik Ahmed.
ML Theory & Algorithms: quantum machine learning; self-supervised and few-shot learning; high-dimensional representation learning; foundation models; generalizability, robustness, and bias mitigation.
Neuroinformatics: multimodal brain data analysis; longitudinal effects on brain structure, function, and anomalies; brain–omics integration; explainable AI for biomarker discovery; brain mapping and anomaly detection; brain-computer interfacing.
Signals & Images: biomedical time series analysis; medical image diagnosis, generation, segmentation, reconstruction, and registration; spatiotemporal modeling.
2 Sep 2025: I was awarded a bursary from UQ APS.
3–7 Aug 2025: I'll be in Toronto, Canada to present our paper and poster at KDD'25. See ya there!
25 Jul 2025: I gave an invited talk on quantum deep learning at AIRO, Torrens University Australia.
18 Jun 2025: I received the prestigious RTP scholarship, funded by UQ and the Australian Government.
15 May 2025: Our paper, "Fully quanvolutional networks for time series classification," has been accepted to the research track of KDD (CORE A*).
6 Feb 2025: The first paper from my MPhil thesis has been accepted for publication at Artificial Intelligence Review (IF 13.9, Q1).
12 Mar 2022: I founded RAIA.
