Key Points About Paper:
There are several drawbacks of radio-frequency (RF) link as well as free-space optical (FSO) link. Such limitations can be eliminated by mixed RF-FSO links.
In this work, a dual-hop Hyper-Gamma (HG)-Gamma-Gamma (ГГ) link is proposed as an RF-FSO channel considering an HG eavesdropper link in the physical layer.
An amplify-and-forward (AF) based variable gain relaying is considered for the mixed channel.
In numerical results, secrecy performances are analyzed based on several fading parameters of RF and FSO links. Furthermore, the novelty of the proposed model over other existing works of literature is precisely shown.
MATHEMATICA software is utilized for analytical evaluation, and Monte-Carlo simulation is performed for validation purposes using MATLAB software.
Future modification is suggested by proposing a decode-and-forward (DF) relaying scheme in the dual-hop channel.
