MySat ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our satellite alignment services.
To provide accurate satellite tracking and alignment services, MySat requires access to specific features on your device:
Precise Location Data: We use your GPS coordinates to calculate the exact Azimuth and Elevation of satellites relative to your current position. This calculation is performed locally on your device.
Camera Access: Our Augmented Reality (AR) feature requires camera access to overlay satellite positions onto the real-world view, helping you align dishes visually.
Clipboard Data: When you use the "Smart Paste" feature, the app reads the clipboard to identify MySat-specific sync data (links shared by other technicians). We do not store or transmit any other clipboard content.
Local Processing: All calculations for satellite positioning and sensor data (Magnetometer/Accelerometer) are processed in real-time on your device.
Local Storage: Any "Fixed Directions" or "Smart Sites" you save are stored locally on your device's private storage (SharedPreferences). This data remains on your phone and is deleted if you uninstall the app.
No Cloud Sync: MySat does not upload your location history or saved sites to any external servers.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use service-related information (such as Advertising IDs) to show relevant ads. You can manage your ad preferences through your Android device settings.
User-Initiated Sharing: The app allows you to share "Smart Links" with other users via third-party apps (like WhatsApp). This action is entirely manual and initiated by you.
No Data Sale: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal or location data to third parties.
Upon the first launch, MySat provides a Prominent Disclosure regarding the use of Location and Camera. We only request these permissions when they are strictly necessary for the app's functionality (e.g., when starting the tracking engine).
You have full control over your data:
You can revoke Location or Camera permissions at any time via Android System Settings.
You can delete all saved data by clearing the app cache or uninstalling the application.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
