According to the legend, a hermit carved a statue of Virgin Mary, and a pilgrimage places grew around the church in which it was placed.

"Mary expecting the birth of her Son Jesus is the Holy Ark that contains the presence of God.”

The holy year was in full swing and porta sancta was wide open. There were locals and pilgrims gathered for a mass. And behind the pilgrimage church continued the deep woods.
