Standing in the center of the medieval city of Kleparz, the church of St Florian hosts saint's relics. It was here that St Florian became patron of firefighters when Swedish troops burned down Krakow suburbs but the church remained standing. It marked the beginning of the coronation route of Polish kings and welcomed Karol Wojtyla as a young vicar in Krakow.
"Let yourselves be taken over by the light of Christ and spread that light wherever you are.”
- St John Paul II
We did not get inside as there was some large ceremony and we did not want to disturb. Looked like a living parish involved with the community in the rush center of Krakow near the busy main railway station.
