The gothic church in an amazing fortress city of Hulst that has changed Catholic and Protestant ownership over the centuries.
"St. Willibrord with associates, mostly Benedictine monks, fervently and effectively evangelized large regions of Europe.”
- Benedict XVI.
A second stop in the day on a journey in Netherlands and Belgium with my daughter, we were impressed by the fortress town itself and by the unusual sight of the church tower. The church was open and there were festivities happening all over the city center.
