A burial place of St Suitbert who founded the Benedictine monastery in this place. The large Romanesque church lies on the banks of the river Rhein and is a quite place frequented by locals.
"The Word of Sacred Scripture inspires the Benedictine monk's dialogue with God.”
- John Paul II
I arrived in the evening, the sun was setting behind the Rhine river, illuminating the nave with pink shades. The river banks were full of people, mostly locals, strolling around and enjoying the unusual warmth of a winter evening.
