The basilica is an abbey church of the Benedictine Abbey in Seckau, a co-cathedral of the dioceze Graz-Seckau and a burial place of the Inner Austrian line of Habsburgs.

I spent two beautiful visits there, first on my own and then with my family and a niece. I admired the beautiful Alpine location and the tranquility of the scene. The church was very old, yet perfectly clean and with lots of beautiful modern art details.
