Personal details

I am a Principal Researcher at the Industrial Systems Institute, "Athena" Research and Innovation Centre, and a senior researcher at the Computer Technology Institute & Press "Diophantus", Patras, Greece. I received my PhD in 2008 from the Dpt. of Computer Engineering & Informatics at the University of Patras, Greece.

My work revolves around pervasive and distributed systems, with a focus on smart cities, energy efficiency and crowdsourcing during the past few years. It also includes aspects of pervasive systems for educational purposes and entertainment, as well as their intersection with art. I have also worked as adjunct faculty at the University of Patras, Greece, and the Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece
