My Logbook ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application (the "App") handles your information.

My Logbook is an offline-first application. This means:

Local Storage: All data you enter (flight records, profile name, rank, photos, documents) is stored locally on your device in a secure SQL database.
No Cloud Sync: We (the developer) do not operate a backend server, and we do not collect, store, or have access to your personal flight data or profile information.
User Control: You have full control over your data. You can export, backup, or delete your data at any time within the App.

3. Permissions and Usage
To provide specific features, the App requires the following permissions:

Camera & Photo Gallery: Used only to allow you to set a profile picture or attach photos of your pilot documents (licenses, medicals). These images are stored locally on your device.
Storage (Read/Write): Used to save backup files (.sqlite), export logbooks (PDF/CSV), and read the files you choose to import.
Internet Access: Used solely to fetch real-time aviation weather data (METAR/TAF) and abbreviation definitions.

4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party service to provide weather information:

NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration): When you search for weather (METAR/TAF), the App sends the airport code to NOAA's public API (aviationweather.gov). No personal user data is sent with these requests.

5. Data Backup
Since we do not store your data on our servers, you are responsible for backing up your data. The App provides a "Backup & Restore" feature that allows you to save your database file. We recommend keeping backups in a secure location (e.g., your personal cloud storage or email).
