Hello Friends! I am Haley from Melbourne, Australia. I am a professional photographer and am still a student in this school known as WORLD. I have started this blog to share with you my experiences and adventures in my lovely, picturesque and inviting city Melbourne. Without further adieu, let me introduce you to the city, its suburbs and the places to visit.

Melbourne, the Inside Story

Melbourne is the second largest metropolitan of Australia. It is the most vibrant and multicultural city and is on the top of the list of the most livable cities in the world. It has always accepted people from different cultures around the world and thus has developed a unique food experience for foodies, with Greek to Italian and Spanish to Indian delicacies on the plate. Not only food but the city has a lot to offer in the field of sports, art and architecture. Let us go on the visual tour of Melbourne to explore more.

Some More From My Collection

Royal Botanic Gardens

The Royal Botanic Gardens are located in the heart of green parkland, at the distance of about 2 Km from the Melbourne CBD. They extend through the south of Yarra River and embrace two areas, Melbourne and Cranbourne. Spring is the best time to visit these gardens as they host a variety of flowers and are ideal for bird watching. Visiting the gardens is one of the best free things to do in Melbourne. In summer, live theater is a highlight of the gardens, and a moonlight cinema is set up under the stars. This is also a popular spot for a picnic by the lake or a traditional high tea at The Terrace cafe.

Melbourne Arcades and Laneways

Melbourne’s knot of dusty fine laneways and affluent arcades of historical importance, capture the true spirit and heart of the city. Right from Alfresco dining, eccentric boutiques and homey cafés in Degraves Street to the lively metropolitan portraits of Hosier and AC/DC Lanes, you are set on a trip to cultural diversity and fusion in Melbourne.

Melbourne Museum and Royal Exhibition Building

The Melbourne Museum is just a few km of distance from the CBD and can be easily reached by a short tram ride. The building is surrounded by stunning gardens and parkland, which give it a mesmerising view. It holds a distinct collection of portraying society and cultures. Highlights include Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre; the Phar Lap exhibit, about Australia's greatest racehorse; and the Children's Gallery.
