Engineering a Brighter, Stronger GFP 

Team GreenShifters' Journey to SynBio Challenges 2025 

We are thrilled to announce that Team GreenShifters from MY Lab has been selected as a finalist for the SynBio Challenges 2025 in Shenzhen, China! 🎉

In this video, we pull back the curtain on the innovative design strategy that got us here. Our mission was to engineer a Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) that defies the typical trade-off: to be both brilliantly bright and incredibly stable against heat.

Join Captain Mrs. Shrijana Bista and team member Tanveer Ahmad as they walk you through our unique "portfolio approach" to protein engineering. Discover the scientific rationale behind our six candidate designs, from the foundational "Minimalist Core Pack" to the aggressive "Fortress" and the hybrid "Electro-Core Synergy" strategy. We share our moments of inspiration, the tough hurdles we faced with computational predictions, and how we overcame them with a clear, hypothesis-driven methodology.
