For Hiking

Reunion island has amazing hiking possibilities and we will do at least one hike during our project. There are marked paths, but the terrain is hard (jungle, volcanic rocks, etc) and the elevations are steep, so proper equipment is mandatory. For photos and more information please check the links:

Please bring adequate equipment for hiking, such as:

• proper hiking shoes (no sneakers, please)

• outdoor clothing - pants, rain jacket, technical t-shirts, etc

• small backpack to be used durnig hikes

• water recipient

• frontal light

For the beach activities

Reunion island has one of the most amazing lagoons in the world and it's considered an ideal spot for snorkeling. Please bring adequate equipment for snorkeling, such as:

• snorkeling mask

• beach shoes (so you don't get your feet hurt in the corals)

• underwater camera (or device to use your phone underwater)

• water recipient

Do not forget swim wear, flip-flops and sun lotion with high protection factor (the sun burns harder than in Europe!)

For the Cultural Nights

You can bring typical costumes, ornaments, leaflets, posters, flyers, food, sweets, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks… and so on! You will have the possibility to cook something using the kitchen of your bungalow. Also, you can show videos, photos, sing music and dance traditional dances from your countries! We are counting on you to make these evenings as interesting as possible and promise to help you in any way that we can!
