Physical Activity Data: Our app uses the ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION permission to access your phone's sensors for the sole purpose of counting your daily steps.
Local Processing: All data is processed and stored locally on your mobile device. We do not transmit, upload, or store your step count or any other personal data on our servers.
No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, location data, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).

3. Permissions and Services

Activity Recognition: Used to detect your movement for step counting.
Foreground Service (Health): We use a foreground service to ensure your steps are counted accurately in the background. A persistent notification is shown to keep you informed while this service is running.

4. Data Sharing

No Third-Party Sharing: Since we do not collect your data on our servers, we do not share, sell, or trade your information with any third-party advertisers or external services.

5. Data Retention

We retain the Physical Activity Data only for as long as it is necessary to provide the step-counting service to you. Since all data is stored locally on your device, it remains there as long as the app is installed or until you manually clear the app’s storage.

6. Data Deletion & User Control

Users have full control over their data. You can request or perform data deletion at any time by:

Clearing App Data: Navigating to your device's Settings > Apps > Myfirst step > Storage > Clear Data. This will permanently delete all step history from your device.
Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling the application will automatically and permanently delete all locally stored data related to your physical activity.
No Server-Side Data: Since we do not store any data on external servers, no further action is required to remove your information from our systems.
