This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the MyEx mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

## 1. Summary
- You do **not** create an account in MyEx. We do not ask for your email or phone number.
- The information you enter during onboarding is **stored on your device** — it is not kept on our servers.
- To generate personalized content, the App sends your inputs to **Anthropic's AI service (the Claude API)** for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- We use **no advertising networks, no tracking SDKs, and no third‑party analytics**.
- You can delete your data at any time: delete the App, or use the reset options in Settings.

## 2. What data we collect
We collect the following information, **only to the extent you provide it**, so the App can function:
**Profile information**
- Name (optional — you may skip it)
- Age
- Gender
- Zodiac sign (based on the sign you select, not your date of birth)
**Relationship information**
- Your ex‑partner's / spouse's name (optional)
- Your ex‑partner's zodiac sign (optional)
- Relationship type (dating / marriage), duration, whether you lived together, and number of children if applicable
- Reason for the breakup, who initiated it, the tone of the last conversation, current contact status, date of last contact
- Emotional assessment: how often you think about them, whether you believe they still have feelings, whether you've tried reaching out, what you miss most
**In‑app interaction**
- Messages you send to the AI companion (Afrodit / Zeus)
- Text you enter in the "Emergency Moments" flow
- Your in‑app preferences and progress state
**Purchases**
- The status of your Premium subscription. All payment processing is handled entirely by **Apple**; we never see or store your card details.
**Automatically collected technical data**
- We collect no device identifiers, location, advertising ID, or usage analytics. We do not use third‑party crash‑reporting SDKs.

## 3. How we use your data
We use the data we collect only to:
1. **Generate personalized content** — your analysis report, 30‑day plan, daily advice, weekly relationship report, daily stories, and AI companion conversations are shaped by the information you provide.
2. **Operate the App** — for core features such as progress tracking, the no‑contact day counter, and reminders.
3. **Manage your subscription** — to verify your access to Premium content (via Apple).
We do **not** use your data for advertising, profiling, sale, or marketing.

## 4. Where your data is stored
- Everything you enter and your in‑app state are stored **only on your device** (iOS UserDefaults and the App's file storage).
- We do not upload this data to our own servers or keep it in a database.
- When you delete the App, all of this data is removed from your device.

## 5. AI processing (Anthropic / Claude)
To produce content tailored to you, we send the information you enter (the "Relationship information," "Profile information," and your chat messages described above) to the Claude API provided by **Anthropic, PBC**, for processing. You should know that:
- Anthropic **does not use data submitted via the API to train its AI models** (per Anthropic's commercial API terms).
- Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection.
- This processing is necessary to deliver the content you request; if you do not want it, you should not use the relevant features.

AI‑generated content is **opinion and support** in nature; it is not professional psychological, legal, or medical advice (see Section 9).

## 6. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your data for advertising. Your data reaches third parties only in these cases:
- **Anthropic** — for AI content generation (Section 5).
- **Apple** — for subscription purchase and verification (your card details never reach us).
- **Legal obligation** — if required by a valid court order or legal duty.

## 7. Notifications
The App may send **local notifications** for motivational messages and daily reminders. These are created on your device; granting permission is entirely your choice, and you can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

## 8. Data retention and your rights
- Your data stays on your device until you delete it.
- **To delete it:** Remove the App from your device — all local data is erased. Alternatively, use the relevant reset options in the App's Settings.
- Because your data is held on your device, you always have access to view or correct it within the App.

## 9. Age requirement
MyEx is intended for users **18 years of age and older**. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App without permission, please contact us.

Because most of your data stays on your device, the strongest protection is your device's own security (screen lock, OS updates). Transfers to the AI service are made over an encrypted connection. That said, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
