I have been running my application through MyEclipse and WebSphere for many years, with the deployments and refreshes working fairly well, occasional redeploy required, but typically functioning well. I had not updated WAS or MyEclipse in a while, I was running My Eclipse 2017 and WebSphere 8.5.5 in my local dev environment without issues. I recently had the Windows 10 update 20H2 pushed to my machine and after this I have not been able to successfully deploy. I cannot guarantee that the windows update was the cause, but it seems to be the timing of when it stopped working.

I first saw this in my development branch, I have switched to my stable released branch and I am still seeing the same issues

And if I click on the Dash search, I get the search results full page, and the mouse works fine there (there are reactions on mousover and I can click). So it's as if there was this invisible window running above all the others, absorbing all the clicks, but that can still be overlapped by dash like all windows can (nothing of the like appears if I alt-tab around).

I saw a few similar posts highlighting similar symptoms to what i have seen and thought I should make a new post, detailing what i found and what I sent AMD in the support ticket. Hopefully, this work around "fixes" your issue until the next driver drops (which might be soon given the windows update and other titles and this issue itself.

Open edge (all chromium-based browsers may have this issue), play a video. The issue might not come up in immediately sometimes might take 24h+ for it to show up and the screen will freeze when you try to interact with the playing video, or it's window. I assume it has to do with how hardware acceleration of the browser interacts with the driver, as it did not happen before 23.9.2. When hitting ctrl+alt+del, it will be delayed but when the choice of what to do (on windows 11) comes up, it is responsive and has no issue, even as far as to selecting "lock pc" the audio will continue to play, and the system will be responsive. When selecting task manager, the freezing continues until another window covers the video or you manage to close the browser. After doing further analysis of the issue and how it presents itself, i think it is linked to the browser (edge in my case) and how hardware acceleration is used by it while using the 23.9.2 driver, as no other apps (graphically intensive games like starfield and cyberpunk 2077 included) present this issue and no errors are found in my event manager while this is happening, so it appears to be "normal" behaviour by the apps and the OS. If you take off hardware acceleration should not have the issue. I suspect this means any app which uses gpu acceleration the same way the browser does would have a similar issue.

Update: 23.9.3 WHQL installed, so far its all good, but 23.9.2 took about 24 hours for the issue to show up, so hopefulliy in 24 hours i shall have good news, or you shall hear from me earlier . furthermore, with the expected windows update being released today, we shall see if it also plays well with that.

Yep. I agree with @pturmel on this one.

If you are starving the windows machine of memory, you need to look at adding memory to that machine or moving other applications off of it to alleviate the memory usage.

Furthermore, take into account that if you are using Windows with the Linux subsystem installed, you will not be able to access the SFDX CLI from the Bash if you installed it in windows, or the other way around, so you would have to install it in both places, or just where you'll be working.

WindowBuilder is composed of SWT Designer and Swing Designer and makes it very easy to create Java GUI applications without spending a lot of time writing code. Use the WYSIWYG visual designer and layout tools to create simple forms to complex windows; the Java code will be generated for you. Easily add controls using drag-and-drop, add event handlers to your controls, change various properties of controls using a property editor, internationalize your app and much more.

What I have been exploring today was to compile and run this class, which is hardware independent, on Dev C++ for windows. I have got some success to run this class and use printf (oh yeah!) to output to console to see if the class generates the right menu. And I'm using a debugger. It's nice.

With the windows console_buffer_status_info stuff I found on the net, I'm thinking about making a LiquidCrystal class to output directly to the console. This will be very nice for everyone interested in developing user interface with an LCD. The input can be taken from keyboard with a modified version of my phi_interfaces, treating the keyboard as a serial keypad. Then my entire phi_prompt Text based user interface library can be run and debugged on PC.

Maybe next step is to mock up serial and LiquidCrystal and then I can directly port my phi_interfaces library to use PC keyboard as input buttons. Now I am really starting to appreciate my own work a bit more than cursing bugs all day, since I can debug with a real debugger instead of chasing my own tail in the arduino memory. With the windows protection, I even caught a few array out of bound stuff that I didn't catch in arduino IDE, since there's no segment protection in arduino SRAM

Here you go! I've also implemented a LiquidCrystal class. Unzip all files in your default include folder. Make a windows console project and use my main.cpp as a template. At the moment it runs a fake LCD sample program to report millis()

I made some additional functions for this simulated environment by adding a DS1307 class. The class was created by Matt Joyce (matt.joyce@gmail.com). I took its shell and bashed in windows stuff. Nice to see the PC time change from my simulated environment running phi_prompt menus and lists.

Hello Zara, in conventional updates it might take some time for windows to push the update for all users. try joining the windows insider program and use the "Release Preview" builds option to get the most stable build. you can find the program in the Windows Update window in the settings.

There is an issue with a certificate at the moment, an update is due to be released on Tuesday 9th November. Please see this document for information: -insider/2021/11/04/releasing-windows-11-kb5008295-to-beta-and-release-preview-channels/ 0852c4b9a8
