This Privacy Policy describes how MyDocuHub ("the App", "we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. By downloading, installing, or using MyDocuHub, you agree to the terms described below.
MyDocuHub does not collect, transmit, store, or have any access to your documents or personal data on any server we own or control.
Unlike many document-management apps, MyDocuHub is built as a local-first, offline-first application:
All documents, images, scans, categories, folders, titles, dates, and any other content you add to the App are stored only on your own device's local storage.
We (the developers of MyDocuHub) do not operate any backend server, cloud database, or remote storage system that receives, stores, or has access to your documents, PIN, or any content you create within the App.
We have no ability to view, recover, restore, or access your documents at any time, under any circumstance, because we simply do not receive or hold a copy of them.
MyDocuHub offers an optional, user-initiated backup feature that allows you to back up your documents to your own personal Google Drive account.
This feature is off by default and only activates if you explicitly choose to sign in with your Google account and enable backup.
When enabled, your documents and related metadata (titles, categories, folders, dates) are uploaded to a folder named "MyDocuHub Backup" that is created inside your own Google Drive account — not a Drive account or server belonging to us.
We do not have access to this folder, its contents, or your Google Drive account in general. The data transfer occurs directly between your device and Google's servers using Google's own Drive API and your own Google authentication credentials.
Your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google's Terms of Service. We encourage you to review those documents.
You may disconnect Google Drive or delete the "MyDocuHub Backup" folder at any time directly from your Google Drive account. We have no ability to do this on your behalf, and no ability to prevent you from doing so.
If you restore documents from this backup onto a new or different device, that process also occurs directly between your device and your Google Drive account.
We do not collect the following, ever, at any time:
The contents of your documents, scans, or photos added to the App
Document titles, categories, folder names, or metadata you create
Your PIN code or any authentication credentials you set to lock the App
Your name, address, phone number, or other direct personal identifiers
Location data
Contacts or other device data unrelated to the App's core function
MyDocuHub requests certain device permissions solely to provide its core functionality. None of these permissions result in data being sent to us:

To let you take a photo of a physical document directly within the App. The photo is saved only to your device's local app storage.

To let you select an existing photo or image from your device to add as a document.
File storage
To let you pick existing files (e.g. PDFs) from your device and to save documents you add within the App's private local storage.
Notifications
To send you local, on-device reminders about document expiry dates that you set. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device — no reminder data is sent to any server.
Internet access
Required only for (a) the optional Google Drive backup/restore feature described above, and (b) processing subscription purchases through Google Play Billing (described below). If you never enable Drive backup and never make a purchase, the App does not need to use your internet connection for App functionality.
You may deny or later revoke any of these permissions through your device Settings. Denying a permission will simply disable the related feature (e.g. denying Camera access means you cannot take photos of documents within the App, but can still add files via the file picker).
MyDocuHub offers optional premium subscription plans (monthly, yearly) and historical one-time purchase options, processed entirely through Google Play's In-App Billing system.
We do not collect, see, process, or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other payment information. All payment processing is handled directly by Google Play.
We only receive a purchase confirmation/status (e.g. "subscription active") through Google's official Play Billing Library, which we use solely to unlock premium features on your device.
Refunds, billing disputes, and subscription cancellations are managed through Google Play's own policies and support channels, not by us directly.
Google's handling of your payment information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google Play's Terms of Service.
MyDocuHub integrates with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:
Google Sign-In — used only to authenticate you for the optional Google Drive backup feature.
Google Drive API — used only to upload/download your backup data directly to/from your own Google Drive account.
Google Play Billing / In-App Purchase — used to process optional premium subscription purchases.
Google Play Services — the underlying platform services provided by Google on Android devices.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data-broker SDKs within MyDocuHub.
Your documents and data remain on your device for as long as you keep the App installed and do not delete them.
Uninstalling the App from your device will permanently delete all locally stored documents and data, unless you have separately backed them up to your own Google Drive using the optional backup feature.
Deleting a document within the App removes it from your device's local storage. If that document was previously backed up to Google Drive, it may still exist in your Google Drive backup folder until you separately remove it there.
We have no server-side copy of your data to retain or delete, because none is ever created.
Please read this section carefully.
MyDocuHub is designed as a local, on-device application. As a direct consequence of this design and of the "Our Core Privacy Commitment" described above:
We are not responsible, and accept no liability, for any loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of your documents or data resulting from, including but not limited to:
Loss, theft, damage, destruction, or malfunction of your device;
Factory reset, operating system reinstallation, or corruption of your device's storage;
Accidental or intentional deletion of documents by you or anyone with access to your device;
Uninstallation of the App (with or without an existing Google Drive backup);
Failure, unavailability, account suspension, or data loss on Google's own services (including Google Drive or Google Play), which are entirely outside of our control;
Any bugs, crashes, or errors in the App, the device's operating system, or any third-party service the App relies on;
Any circumstance in which you did not enable, or did not correctly complete, the optional Google Drive backup feature.
You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of any documents you consider important, whether via the App's optional Google Drive backup feature, or by any other means you choose.
The App and all backup features are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and without any guarantee that data will not be lost.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall MyDocuHub, its developer(s), or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of documents, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
MyDocuHub is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect any information from children, consistent with the fact that we do not collect personal information from any user at all.
Your documents are stored in the App's private, sandboxed storage area on your device, which is protected by your device's own operating system security and by any App PIN lock you choose to set. We recommend you also enable your device's built-in screen lock for additional protection, as MyDocuHub's PIN lock is a local convenience feature only and, like all local security measures, can be reset by anyone with physical access to an unlocked device.
Because we do not collect or store your personal data or documents on any server, there is no remote data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf under data protection laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. All control over your data rests with you, directly on your device and, if you choose to use it, your own Google Drive account. If you have any questions about exercising rights related to data held by Google (e.g. your Google Drive backup), please contact Google directly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or for legal/regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
