This Privacy Policy describes how My Car Care ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application.
My Car Care is developed by Syed Irfan Ali an individual developer of My Car Care app.
My Car Care is a car ownership management tool. It does not provide physical car washing or detailing services. It helps you track your vehicle(s), maintenance history, reminders, expenses, fuel efficiency, documents, and emergency contacts, and offers a marketplace, coupons, community feed, and knowledge center for car owners.
If you create an account, we collect:
Email address
Password (stored securely by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your raw password)
Display name, if you choose to provide one
You may also use the App in Guest Mode without creating an account. In Guest Mode, no account information is collected or transmitted anywhere.
The App lets you enter, and stores locally on your device only:
Vehicle details (nickname, make, model, year, VIN, registration number, color, fuel type, engine size, odometer)
Service history, maintenance reminders, expense records, fuel logs
Photos of your vehicle and scanned/photographed documents (registration, insurance, license, warranty, invoices) that you choose to attach
Emergency contact names and phone numbers you add
This information is not currently uploaded to any cloud server or third-party database. It is stored in a local, on-device database and is only accessible from the device on which it was entered. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data will permanently delete this information. We strongly recommend using the App's export features (PDF/CSV) to keep your own backup of important records.
If notifications are enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns your device a messaging token, which may be used to deliver maintenance reminders and other alerts to your device. This token is managed by Firebase and is not linked to your personal identity beyond what's described in Section 3.1.
The App displays banner ads (on suitable screens only) and optional rewarded ads (for optional premium features) through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). AdMob may collect:
Advertising identifier (e.g. Google Advertising ID)
Device information (device type, OS version, general location inferred from IP address, language settings)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not control what Google does with this data beyond the settings we configure in the AdMob console. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization").
The App requests camera and photo library access only so you can attach a vehicle photo or a photo of a document (insurance card, invoice, etc.). These images are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded anywhere by the App. We do not access your camera or photo library except when you actively choose to pick or take a photo within the App.
The App does not request or access your device's precise location, your contacts list (beyond names/numbers you manually type into Emergency Contacts), your call history, SMS, or files unrelated to the features above.
We use the information described above to:
Create and maintain your account (if you register)
Let you track and manage vehicle information within the App
Send maintenance reminder notifications you've configured
Display advertising that supports the App's free features (see the Revenue Model in the App description — affiliate links, ads, and an optional premium subscription)
Diagnose and fix technical problems
We do not sell your personal information.

If we integrate cloud data sync (e.g. Firestore) in a future version of the App, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that feature is released, and it will disclose exactly what vehicle/personal data would be transmitted and stored in the cloud.
Account credentials are stored and secured by Firebase Authentication.
All vehicle, maintenance, expense, document, and emergency contact data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted-at-rest local database where supported by the operating system. This data never leaves your device under the App's current functionality.
We take reasonable measures to protect information we do handle (account data via Firebase), but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Guest Mode: Use the App without creating an account or providing an email address.
Delete your account: [INSERT METHOD — e.g. "Contact us at [email] to request account deletion" or describe an in-app option if you add one].
Delete local data: Uninstall the App, or clear its storage/data via your device's App Settings, to permanently remove all locally stored vehicle and maintenance data.
Ad personalization: Opt out via your device's ad settings as described in Section 3.4.
Notifications: Disable push notifications at any time via your device's notification settings or within the App.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to processing) under GDPR or CCPA. Contact us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL] to exercise these rights.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL] and we will delete it.
Account information is retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
Locally stored vehicle/maintenance data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Advertising identifiers and interaction data are retained by Google according to Google's own retention policies.
If you use the App outside of [INSERT YOUR COUNTRY], your information (specifically, account data processed via Firebase) may be transferred to and processed in other countries, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we will provide notice within the App or through other reasonable means before the change takes effect.
