1. Introduction
Welcome to Bills (package name: com.sam.bills). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This application is designed to be a 100% offline, manual ledger utility.
2. No Financial Services or Payment Processing
Bills does not provide any financial services, banking, lending, or payment processing. The app functions strictly as a manual record-keeping tool.
• While the app allows you to manually save a UPI ID and provides a shortcut (Intent) to redirect you to third-party UPI apps installed on your device, Bills itself does not process transactions, access bank accounts, or make any financial recommendations.
• All transactions and payment records are manually entered by the user for their own personal reference.
3. Data Collection and Storage
Bills does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers or the cloud. All data you enter into the app—including client names, contact details, ledger entries, and UPI IDs—is stored strictly locally in your device's internal storage.
4. Camera and Storage Permissions
• Camera: The app requests camera access strictly for scanning UPI QR codes using on-device technology to read text. No images, video, or data are recorded, saved, or transmitted over the internet.
• Storage/Photos: The app requests access to your device storage to allow you to select profile pictures for your records, scan QR codes from saved images, and export/import local JSON backup files. These files remain safely on your device.
5. Third-Party Services
Because Bills operates entirely offline, we do not use any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising services. Your data is completely private and is not shared with anyone.
6. User Control & Backups
You have full control over your data. You can completely erase your data at any time by uninstalling the app. The app provides a manual backup feature that generates a local file on your device. It is your responsibility to keep your local backup files secure.
