Welcome to DV Photo Checker & Confirmation Vault ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This application is an independent technical tool designed to assist users with photo formatting, photo requirement validation, and offline record archiving for Diversity Visa (DV) applicants.
We are NOT affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Government, or any official government agency.
Camera Access: Our app requests access to your device camera to provide real-time live photo validation (detecting head pose, eye position, posture, lighting, and prohibited eyewear/headgear).
Local On-Device Processing: Camera feeds and live video frames are processed strictly in real-time and 100% on your device.
Zero Remote Streaming: We do NOT record, capture, upload, stream, or store your live camera feed on any external server.
Local Archiving: When you save your 16-character DV Confirmation Number, Year of Birth, Last/Family Name, or Applicant Notes in the app's Confirmation Vault, this data is stored exclusively in your device's local offline storage (SharedPreferences).
Complete Privacy: We do NOT upload, sync, or transmit your confirmation numbers, birth details, or personal names to any cloud server or third party.
Voluntary Submissions: If a user (such as a photo studio or service office owner) voluntarily submits their business details for listing in our directory, the user initiates an email submission using their phone's default email client addressed to ads.apps8640@gmail.com.
Usage: Information provided (business name, address, contact phone, and attached commercial photo/license) is used solely to verify and publish the business listing in our app's directory.
Our application integrates trusted Google SDKs for on-device vision processing, advertisements, in-app purchases, and push notifications:
Google ML Kit (On-Device Face Detection): Used for automated local photo validation (detecting head pose, eye level, face size, and eyewear). Google ML Kit processes vision data strictly on your device locally. No facial biometric data, image frames, or photos are ever collected, stored, or sent to Google servers.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to display non-intrusive advertisements. Google AdMob may use device advertising IDs (GAID) for ad serving and analytics.
Google Play In-App Billing: Handles secure payment processing for optional premium features. We do not collect or store financial or credit card information.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to deliver push notifications regarding important DV lottery updates and announcements.
Local Data Storage: All your saved entries, photo check results, and confirmation vault details remain stored locally on your physical device.
Data Control & Deletion: You have complete control over your data. You can delete any saved entry directly within the app, clear app data via Android Settings, or uninstall the application to permanently erase all locally stored data immediately.
Our application does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support.developer640@gmail.com, and we will promptly take appropriate action.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app or on our official store page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
