This Privacy Policy explains how My IDFA handles information when you use our iOS or Android app. “We” and “us” mean the developer of My IDFA, who can be contacted at FeedbackToBigBear@gmail.com. My IDFA displays and copies the advertising identifier provided by your device. It is free and supported by Google AdMob banner ads.
1 Advertising identifiers and clipboard
On iOS, My IDFA reads the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only when the system permits access following tracking authorization. On Android, it reads the Android Advertising ID (AAID or GAID) through Google Play services. Android does not provide an Apple IDFA. Identifiers may be unavailable, restricted, deleted, or reset.
The identifier displayed by the utility is held in app memory and is not saved by our application code to a local database or sent to a developer-operated server. When you tap Copy, the identifier is written to the system clipboard. Clipboard access, history, and cross-device synchronization depend on your system settings and other software. Share the identifier only with recipients you trust. The advertising SDK handles information separately as described below.
2 Information used by advertising services
My IDFA integrates Google Mobile Ads and the User Messaging Platform (UMP) for banner advertising and privacy choices. These services communicate over the internet. Depending on platform, permissions, consent, and SDK settings, Google may collect or receive advertising and other device identifiers, IP address and approximate location inferred from it, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic or performance information.
Google uses advertising-service information to provide and measure ads, perform analytics, improve services, and prevent fraud or abuse. UMP processes and may store consent status and related preferences. Advertising services can process information even when personalized advertising is unavailable; declining personalization does not necessarily stop all data processing.
3 Information you choose to provide
The app does not require an account and has no purchases or subscriptions. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and attachments. We use that information to respond to your request and address support or privacy issues. Do not send advertising identifiers or other personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
4 Sharing and service providers
Advertising and consent information is shared with Google and, where applicable, advertising partners involved in serving or measuring ads under the privacy choices presented to you. Email providers process correspondence you send us. We may disclose information we hold when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or prevent abuse. We do not maintain a developer-operated advertising ID database to sell.
5 Your privacy choices
On iOS, manage tracking access in the system Settings app. If tracking is denied or restricted, My IDFA cannot display a valid IDFA and does not bypass that restriction. On Android, use the available system advertising privacy controls to reset or delete your advertising ID. Options vary by device and system version.
Where required, UMP presents a privacy form and the app provides an Ad privacy settings entry point for reviewing or changing choices. Ads are requested only when UMP reports that requests are permitted. Tracking authorization and advertising consent are separate choices. Withdrawing consent affects future processing and does not reverse processing already lawfully performed.
6 Retention and deletion
The utility does not keep a persistent copy of the identifier it displays. Closing the app does not necessarily clear the system clipboard. You can replace its contents or use clipboard controls available on your device. Uninstalling the app removes its local data subject to system backup and retention behavior, but does not delete information already held by Google or other recipients.
We retain support correspondence only as reasonably needed to handle the request, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Google and other service providers apply their own retention and deletion practices. Contact us to request deletion of information we hold; requests concerning Google-held data may also need to be made through Google’s privacy controls.
7 Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards for information under our control, but no system is completely secure. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards.
8 Privacy requests and children
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Send requests to FeedbackToBigBear@gmail.com. We may need information to verify a request and locate the relevant records; we do not require you to create an app account.
My IDFA is intended as a device testing utility and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9 Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app, service providers, or applicable requirements. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different processing. Privacy and support contact: FeedbackToBigBear@gmail.com.
