Welcome to My Health Journal. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our application. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Handle
We distinguish between information that remains solely on your device and information that we may process temporarily.
Health Information (strictly local) – Blood glucose records, blood pressure readings, weight, BMI, daily step counts, water intake logs, health notes and journals – all of this data is stored exclusively on your own device. We do not collect, access, or store it on our servers or any remote systems. We never receive this data.
Device Information (automatically collected) – To help maintain stability and security, we may automatically collect limited technical data, including device model, operating system version, App version, anonymous crash reports, and anonymous diagnostic information. This data contains no health or personal identification details.
AI Doctor Tracker Questions (temporarily transmitted) – When you voluntarily ask a question through the AI Doctor Tracker, that question is securely sent to a trusted third‑party AI service provider to generate a response. We do not store or retain your questions or the AI’s replies on our servers. The transmission is transient and used solely to provide the answer.
We process only the minimum information necessary to deliver and improve the App.
2. How We Use Information
Health records are managed locally on your device – we have no access to them.
Device information is used to improve app performance, fix crashes, and maintain security.
AI questions are forwarded to third‑party AI providers solely for generating responses; no copies are kept by us.
We use aggregated, anonymised diagnostic data to detect and resolve technical issues.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your information to third parties.
3. Local Data Storage – No Cloud Services
This is a core principle:
All your health records are stored exclusively on your device’s internal storage.
We do not operate any cloud backup, synchronisation, or account‑based services. Your health data never leaves your device.
We will never introduce cloud backup, sync, or remote storage for your health data in any future version.
You have full control and may delete all data at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
The only exception is the AI Doctor Tracker: your question is temporarily transmitted to a third‑party AI provider to receive an answer. The question and answer are not stored on our servers and are discarded after the response is delivered.
4. Data Deletion
Since all health records are stored locally, you can permanently delete them at any time by:
Clearing the App’s data via your device settings, or
Uninstalling the App.
Once cleared or uninstalled, all locally stored health records are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Because no remote copy exists, no residual data remains anywhere else.
5. AI Doctor Tracker
The AI Doctor Tracker allows you to ask general wellness and health‑related questions.
Your question is temporarily and securely transmitted to a trusted third‑party AI service provider. We do not retain either your question or the response.
AI‑generated responses are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, emergency situations, or professional healthcare decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical concerns.We use third‑party AI providers that contractually agree not to retain, store, or use your questions or the generated responses for any purpose other than providing the immediate answer. All transmissions are encrypted and do not include any personal identifiers or health records from your device.
6. Permissions
The App may request:
Notifications – for water reminders and other alerts;
Physical Activity – for step counting (if you enable it);
Internet Access – to enable AI services and online content.
Permissions are requested only when needed and used solely for their stated purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Because all health data remains on your device, security primarily depends on your device’s own protections (e.g., screen lock, encryption). No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we strive to use commercially reasonable safeguards.
8. Third‑Party Services
The App may use trusted third‑party services, including but not limited to:
Google Play Services;
Firebase Analytics;
Firebase Crashlytics;
AI service providers (for the AI Doctor Tracker).
These services may process certain non‑health information (e.g., device identifiers and crash logs) under their own privacy policies. They do not receive your health records, as those remain solely on your device.
9. Children’s Use
This App is not designed for children and is not intended for use by children.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable local age threshold). We do not knowingly invite or encourage children to use it.
Crucially, because we do not collect, store, or have access to any personal health information from any user (including children), there is no scenario in which we “collect” or “delete” children’s personal data. All health data remains local on the user’s device, and AI questions are transiently transmitted without being retained by us.
Nevertheless, we strongly encourage parents and legal guardians to supervise their children’s device usage and to ensure the App is not used by children without appropriate oversight. If you have any concerns about your child’s use of the App, please contact us using the details below.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will become effective immediately upon publication within the App or on our official website. Please review this policy periodically.
