# Privacy Policy for My Github PR
Effective date: April 28, 2026
My Github PR ("the extension") is designed to help users track selected GitHub pull requests directly in their browser.
## Information We Access
The extension may access limited information from GitHub pull request pages on `github.com`, including:
- Pull request title
- Pull request author username
- Organization name
- Repository name
- Pull request number
- Pull request URL
- Pull request status, including whether it has been merged
This information is used only to identify pull requests that match the user’s configured settings.
## Information We Store
The extension stores data locally in the user's browser using `chrome.storage.local`, including:
- Tracked author
- Tracked organizations
- Tracked repositories
- Saved pull request records
- Temporary dismissed pull request state
This data is stored only on the user's device.
## How We Use Information
The extension uses the accessed and stored information only to:
- Detect matching GitHub pull requests
- Save pull requests selected by the extension logic
- Display saved pull requests in the extension popup
- Show a badge count on the extension icon
- Remove saved pull requests when they are merged
- Respect temporary dismiss actions made by the user
## Data Sharing
The extension does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
## Remote Code and External Services
The extension does not download or execute remote code.
The extension does not send saved pull request data, settings, or browsing data to any external server controlled by the developer.
## Data Retention and Control
All extension data remains in the user's local browser storage until it is removed by the user, overwritten by extension behavior, or cleared through browser or extension removal actions.
Users can control their data by:
- Updating tracked authors, organizations, and repositories
- Deleting saved pull requests from the extension UI
- Removing the extension from Chrome
- Clearing browser extension storage data
## Security
Because data is stored locally in the browser, its protection depends in part on the security of the user's device and browser profile.
## Children's Privacy
The extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
## Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updated version should replace this document and include a revised effective date.
