My vacuum cleaner got lots of cool accessories that you interchange depending on what you need to clean and where. But I really struggled to find a way to carry them all with one hand while vacuuming with the other hand. So I had to design that accessory clip to make my life easier, and it is so convenient !
I bought a really cool cordless vacuum cleaner and it changed my life as it made it so easier to give a quick clean to the house, mostly now that we have 2 cats who create 20 times more dust...
I had a normal plugged in vacuum cleaner like everyone for many years but I always hated the cord therefore now it is just a dream.
So I bought this one on the left as it was what I thought being the best of its kind for my own needs. And yes it's an amazing design corresponding to what I need. It is not my intention to promote Dyson here though, it just happens randomly that it's my favourite.
That machines comes with a few accessories (I mainly use those circled in blue on the picture) and, although they are all very useful, they are a nightmare to handle: once you have connected the one you need, where do you put the other three?? --> you have to carry them all in one hand while you vacuum with the other hand. But it is very inconvenient...
... so I quickly modeled a set of two parts that would be clamped on the main tube and hold the three accessories that are not used while the fourth one is connected to the end of the tube.
Those parts were designed for rapid prototyping as I wanted that rather quickly so there has not been any consideration for usual plastic injection techniques that we would apply for mass production.
So they were made out of transparent SLA.
Et voila!
So convenient...
Contact me if you want to print those two parts and I can send you the STL files.
