    • Identify what makes a good composition:

      • Compositional Strategies:

        • Odd Numbers and Eye Movement

        • Balance (symmetrical or asymmetrical)

        • Repetition of elements

        • Overlapping (space)

        • Using the Rule of Thirds (focal points)

    • Identify the art genre still lifes

    • Create and draw a still life using the compositional strategies

    • Create a collagraph printing plate of their composition

    • Create 3 prints of their composition

    • I can critique my artwork and others by:

      • Describe: Tell exactly what you see ( Who is the artist? What year was it created? Do not use value word such as ugly or pretty).

      • Analyze: Use the elements of art and principles of design to reflect upon the artwork.

      • Interpret: What is the artist trying to say? Why was the artwork created in that style? What are the historical events (if any) during that time period? Is there any symbolic meaning?

      • Judge: Is it a successful artwork? Is it important? Do you like it? How does it make you feel?
